Is it a Cat dozer unit or aftermarket? Do you just need the blade and mounting brackets or the whole setup including hydraulics?

The 5J D2 track frames and undercarriage all share the exact same specs as the 5U1 to 5U13236 tractors, so most anything that attaches to those pieces will interchange inside that production range . At 5U13237 they lengthened the chassis and track frames so anything made after that I can't guarantee will transfer from a 5J (not easily, anyway). Also if you're thinking of transferring the hydraulic pump and piping from the 5J to the 5U there may be some fit issues to deal with, as they have different hoods, dash panels, and radiators (I mention radiators because of the possible front mounted pump, the 5J's front ends required a lot more work to mount equipment to than the 5U). This is where the question of Cat dozer unit or aftermarket setup comes into play as it will directly affect what is required to transfer those parts.

That's not a Cat blade arrangement.....appears to be a fairly well built shop unit, can't say that I recognize it although the style appears to be like the old Bucyrus Erie units. The drive coupling unit is going to be different going on a "U" model and the guard would have to be adapted to the later radiator shell, other than that I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Here is the imported picture:
