The four 3/4" drain plugs are for the steering clutch compartments. Most guys drill them 1/4" and put an 1/8" cotter key in to rattle around. This allows the water from condensation and leakage to drain out. Just removing the plugs is a no-no as Mice WILL get in there! Read all the old posts about doing stuck clutches on D2's to better believe.
As far as the 1/4 or 3/8 next to them, I am drawing a temporary blank?
I can visualize the brake band adjusting screw and nut but not additional plugs?

I think what is being looked at as a 1/4" or 3/8" plug is the brake band support adjustment screew.

Thanks for the information, the smaller ones have lock nut on them and as the other reply said they are band adjusting screws.
Thanks to both of you.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
