I took CR’s suggestion and decided to give the little 4U a makeover. “She” runs pretty good, although I should fine tune the carburetor and adjust the pinion latches.

Cracked out side panels and fenders received a patch job; the mud guards came off and tidied up some.

A hot bath was performed and the painter will sandblast and sand wherever needed before it goes into the cozy paint booth.

I removed the cobbled up Be-Ge unit. If I decide hydraulics are needed, I have a 2 spool #41 available. I have some old school mechanical implements that I can put the breakaway clips on, should I decide to let her work.

Another friend/member (Dennis Chan) wants me to create a rolling display such as his IH crawlers. Stay tuned. JM

She won’t be Museum quality IMO. I will perfect a machine some day.

Clean up mud guards. They had to come off anyways!

it’s always better to hear them run. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Fall seven times, stand up eight.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
