Nice one. I had to have more buckets under mine though!! Enjoy the experience.
There always seems to be rabbit traps hanging in every Ozzy shed.

There's a real nice guy in Perth called Catsteve who has been doing a fantastic restore on his D2, so don't be afraid to ask questions here as you go along, he's a lot smarter than me, restoring old Cats is simply a matter of asset relocation, the main asset relocated is principally cash from your bank account into the bank account of others, usually Cat parts suppliers, plus a little sanity and skin will get relocated along the way too, just go slowly and safely!😆

What do you need to do to her, I finished a D2 5U last May and am still working on a D2 4U right now, it's getting a complete fender to fender rebuild, it usually takes longer, and costs more than you originally budget, or tell your wife!😆
regards
Mike

Gday Ross.

Glad to see another West Ozzie here on ACMOC. Good luck with the 4U, it certainly looks like you have a nice space to work in there. There should be room for a few more tractors.
If you don't have them already, get yourself a parts/operation/service manual (maybe off feebay). Try to avoid the photocopied reproductions. The manuals are an excellent resource and should save you a lot of pain.

G/day Mike
I told my wife this was her machine. I am lucky because I work for the Cat dealer here in WA, so can chase down parts & a lot of them are availible off the shelf, just ordered a heap of parts for the starting engine & all were in Australia

cheers Ross
