A friend of mine works at a local scrap yard called to let me know a D8 15A came in. It is in rough shape but the tracks are very good.He said he could keep them from cutting it up for a few days. If anyone is interested I would be willing to help save the tracks until shipping could be arranged. They are located in Erie PA. The sprockets are segmented. The engine is stuck, the radiator is gone, It has a CCU that is run by a driveshaft. I can get pictures if interested.I got 15A 107 group 4H9520 off the back. The serial tag was gone and hard to read the #'s stamped on back.

There is a SN tag on the engine block just above the starting engine transmission & below the back head so take a look there. The only thing is if the engine was swapped around it wouldn,t be the correct SN.

Steved73t,
I'm interested in the rails(chains) , rollers, and anything else related. Would there be a price? Thanks.

I'll check with my buddy. He said scrap is about 2-3 hundred per ton. I don't know how much of a premium they want for handling.I'll call him tonight.

I talked to them today, they want 25 cents a pound for parts. I measured the rails , they are between 4 5/8 and 4 3/4 inches high. You can email me at [email protected] and we can exchange phoine #s.
