Well it started as a fleeting thought then morphed into an idea when Casey procured a parallel ripper from a 1450 Case to mount on his D6C and then finally after several years, turned into a reality last week. I laid out all the parts on a 2D CAD to maintain the parallel engineering then sent them off to be CNC burnt. I did the boring in my mill, 2 inches plus .005 knowing all to well that several passes of 3/16 Jet would pull the 1 inch plate and of course it all had to line up right on the D6 bolts so allowances had to be made for that as well. I am really glad I had the mag drill, it was a lifesaver. Tad

Wow great job. That mount plate should be more then heavy enough to withstand the forces of ripping.

I couldn't be more pleased with this construction and installation. It works flawlessly! Cousin Tad talks about the CAD, Jet rod and the .005 overbore, but he neglects to mention the hardest tool of the bunch. The Tape Measure!!! If I recall correctly, we measured and measured and measured again and again and a 12th time. I must say gents, that Tad's ability to translate a tape to paper then to steel is remarkable. He never had to disassemble any part of the project and start over. Truly a testament to Tad's craftsmanship.

Thank You Tad.

You just can't beat a CMM (Cousin's Multiple Measuring) when precision coordinates are required!

Awesome design and fabrication gentlemen...Kudos to you both :clap2:

Thanks Crawler Dollars.
The Kudos have to go to Tad. If left to my own devices, the project probably never would have been finished. If I had finished it then I can almost guarantee that it would have been re-started 2 or 3 times and even then it probably wouldn't have worked properly.

Here is a quick video of how well it works.
