Sounds like quite a guy. Interesting that he lived on the Stanford campus & kept his tractor collection there.
I am very thankful to have known him. He was very passionate about the tractors. He was also very meticulous about his restoration work. He approached restoring equipment like his work in medicine, an art he practiced all his life. He was at Veerkamps show when they were working on the Best 25. I'm glad I was able to see him then. Thanks, Chuck!👍
I read Chuck's obituary and I felt honored to have known such an innovative man. I had several phone conversations with Chuck as he was trying to get parts made for his Best 25. I had only known him as a soft-spoken, intelligent man and passionate collector of machinery. I had no idea of his impressive background. I feel fortunate to have met him in person at Best Show on Tracks. God's speed Chuck.
