Change a generator to altenator on a D4 7U

I have seen pictures posted on some idea's on how to convert the generator on a D4 7U to an altenator. This was a long time ago and I cannot find this information again. Has anyone seen this or have any idea's. Thanks

I remember seeing the old threads and the general comments back were that the old diesels couldn't keep up the charging belt/gear speed to really make use of the added alternator charging circuits. Seems quite a few have done it though.
