Hi Ian, if you didn't get to see my response on the other forum, apparently some new anti-spam software may be the culprit. I made some calls and Catman should be A-ok.

Thanks Bruce , I think Byron was more concerned that he was unable to access his PMs from the guys here that had ordered manifolds etc .. I don't think this site would be the same without Catman .

Byron or Izzy, please send me the message that you receive when logging on. From what Byron told me yesterday, the computer may have been breifly compromised. No worries, no coverup.

Edit:
I have looked at the admin panel and it shows everything is A-ok. I suggest deleting cookies and sign back in. Also, give a try signing in from another computer. Let me know.

Please pass this on to Byron and others who are jumping on Bruce, Ill tell you he has been given the OK to ban them by every BoD member , the only reason they are not is because Bruce on his own is giving them another chance. Theres nothing to hide on our end at all as much as he should have been band he wasnt the fact is nobody was banned over that when I think some should have been.My mailbox is full of complaints complaints from paying members that we havnt banned those involed. And if Byron dosnt behave on this BB he will be forced to stay over at the other site. My take on this is theres nothing wrong on this end at all, maybe its Byron just trying to make a big thing out of something that isnt true. And Im right her to answer any questions anybody has about this.

Willie. I have a question. It wasn't that long ago that you created a lot of heated discussion on this site. You weren't banned; in fact you were made a Director. Since becoming a Director, we haven't heard hardly a peep out of you. Now that someone else is raising a little heated discussion, you want them banned and tell us all of the other Directors with the exception of Bruce do too. How do you reconcile this phenomenon? How do you decide who gets banned now that you're in charge?

Hi, Folks.
My take on Willie's post is that the other members of the BoD have given the FINAL CHOICE to B4D2, NOT that they have said they wanted certain people banned.

I think it would be advisable for all concerned to step back, take a couple of good deep breaths, cool off a bit and start afresh. Resolution, like revenge, is a dish best served cold.

Catman, I doubt that Ron Meeder no longer wants the heatbox for the 35 or that John Hahn no longer wants your order for $4,000 of seat parts. The way I read it, the other members of the BoD have left the decision to B4D2 simply 'cos it's his province, he is the one with his finger on the pulse and it takes time to organise a phone conference of all BoD members to make a full board decision.

Sure, a post was deleted and I have no certain knowledge of whodunnit. To tell you the truth, I don't really care either at this late stage. What I do know is that, SO FAR, nobody has been banned and I would say that is pretty strong testimony to B4D2's tolerance and understanding 'cos there have been some pretty strong posts made of late.

IF you really want to take your bat and ball and go home, we can't stop you and I wouldn't try. How-wevver, you have made some valuable contributions to this BB and to the ACMOC as a whole and you have services to offer that are very hard to find elsewhere. Do you really want to deprive a large sector of the Cat collection/restoration fraternity of those contributions and services just 'cos you have a burr under your saddle about a few of them?

Cat-Iron, without seeing the post that was deleted, I have no way of knowing how I would feel about it. What I would suggest is that it might have been better for the BB and ACMOC as a whole and may have gotten better results if you had PM-ed B4D2 and asked the question that way instead of plastering it all over the front page, so to speak.

I am not a collector/restorer except of photos and information because I have planned for many years now to become a grey nomad upon my retirement and would have neither the time nor the space to indulge that 'addiction'. How-wevver, I would not be in favour of telling anybody to send a vintage Cat to the scrappers 'cos it is junk when there are sure to be some salvageable parts on it, at the very least. Also, I don't think it is particularly 'diplomatic' to call somebody else's machines 'junk' on a world-wide forum, if that is indeed what you did say.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

I may have made waves on this BBin the past and may do so in the future but I never made racial slurs ar used fowl language on the BB and that what this is all about. And I have no idea why you would bring up Rons name he has nothing to do with the BoD. And other refers to those who might really beleave you, that you were secretly being kept off the BB. because that is not and never was the case.
