Caterpillar calls it "Hiway Yellow". Most dealers can still get it for you.

The yellow that the Cat dealers use today is a darker shade than Hiway yellow.
Most automotive paint shops will give you a fairly good match to the original yellow.I painted my 933 into a mustard yellow that Cat used for a few years.
I don't know in the USA ,but in Europe, very soon there will be new regulations regarding paint in the UK,lead paint was banned some years ago but now it seems that water based paints will be the future.I find the older paint resists fading and weather much better. But the two pack paint is also good for standing up to weather.

Some tracked loader photos for you to look at.
The 983 seems to be in Hiway yellow.

Hi Martyn,
thank you for photos!
The 951 of first photo is hiway yellow painted?
Probably your 933 has a colour that in Italy has called "Giallo Caterpillar ecologico" ecological Caterpillar Yellow.
According to you which the most beautiful color is for 951c 69h?

Hello there the first photo is a 955 K the second is a 983, the third a 951.
I think the hiway yellow on a tracked loader looks good but can look a bit too bright when new.Between 1967 and 1969 the machines were painted that mustard yellow. In my opinion, that shade of yellow suits a tracked loader.A mate of mine painted that 951 in the third photo Hiway yellow and it looks good.
