Hi Charles,
I would check the mast guide rollers for seizure and/or flats worn on their outer rolling surfaces and excessive wear.
We had a similar unit at the Dealer and I am sure it had guide rollers.

From observation over the years I saw/experienced that the mast frames can catch at the top of the stroke due to crud build up in the guide roller or wear strip--if equipped--runs or if a lot of wear to the guide rollers or missing or worn wear strips the inner frame cocks forwards in the outer frame and jams.

Luckily I did not get to do much on Lift Trucks, especially after working on Hyster's and Towmotor's etc. way back in the '60's as an Apprentice, so I stand to be corrected.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

Ed B is correct. We bought our CAT RC60 lifts used; dealer did a gorgeous job of refurbishment, the rollers would bind up at the top because of the new paint binding the mast/rollers/wear shims. I’d check to see that the carriage/chains are even and not cockeyed as well.
