Hi Louis,
good to hear you have a runner again--albeit for a short time.
Suggest you check the fuel tank breather--I am not sure if there is one in the top of the tank or just a hole drilled in the filler cap--others with one of these units may like to chime in.
When Mike Meyer and I were working on his Fifteen Carby we found that the cork float sealer was bubbled and that the float was slightly loose on the needle lever. Sometimes the float would move or twist on the needle lever such that the float would rub on the side of the float bowl. This friction could either stop the needle opening or closing.
We tightened the retaining screw and then found that the float would hit the top of the carby and not allow the needle to seat. We spaced the float down on the lever with a suitable washer.
You have the opposite but just wanted to put it here what can be wrong with the float catching.
Another thing, if you know you have good fuel flow to the carby inlet fitting is to remove the fitting and check for crud above the needle in the housing drilling.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

That is good info there eddie,
hen i stripped my carb i found that my float was loose. I tightened mine up. Is there a good place that does a carb kit? I have tryed emailing a couple of people and get no reply. Does anyone know what you get in a kit? Sorry to hijack this thread but i will be at this point in the near future and want everything ready.
