Caterpillar Service magazines

Hi Digger Dozer

I note with interest your post regarding early "CATERPILLAR" service material, you ask the question as to when did they start issuing the Service Magazine on a regular basis, I happen to have in my collection a set of the first issues which are dated 1931 on issue No 1.

These were being thrown in the rubbish a few years ago by my local "CAT" dealership, was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time as it were and saved them, dated from 1931 through to December 1947, all in quite good condition. hello Diggerdozer ,the caterpillar magazine is a info book with pic and little stories about new and old tractors.

Caterpillar service reporter send update changes to tractor and new tool info ,there is a product news aswell ,i have some of all these sheets up to early 1970 but not sure if they still use them or when they stopped the sheets ,you may have got the newer ones on mircofich ,bruce oz

Hi Bruce, I have found the service reporter interesting reading, any ideas when they started ?

hello chester ,looks like the early service reporter were the early 50's.
i did find that you can still by the service magazine from cat Legendary Service Literature ,1932-1950 sepd0074 ,bruce oz
