I have a few old Eismann Magnetos that I had rebuilt a few years back and I did not label them to what machines they would fit. Im pretty sure the GV-4 is for a Cat Ten, but I am not sure. If anyone knows what machines these magneto models orginally went to, even If not originally Caterpillar, please post or send me an email. thanks! D4Dan

The G4 3rd would have been used on the 10,15 PV,20 L/PL,30 S/PS,60,2-Ton depending on the serial numbers of the tractors. The GV4 would have been used on all of the above except the 2-Ton. The GV4 would have also been used on the latter gas Cats like the 8C 20, 7C 15, 25, 35, etc. up to the time that the CT4 came out. All of the above also depends on the mag rotation and the lag angle of the impulse. For example the G4 3rd on the 2-Ton used the IS-5 impluse and the others were to have the IS-6 impluse used on them. All of the above also depends on the serial number of the tractor that you are working on, please check your parts book for the proper model of mag for your tractor. Hope that helps some.
Thanks
Ken
