MATE these are used on rice headers or combines as you blokes in yanky land call them
they also make a similar thing for sugar cane harvesters although they use D4 tracks as a cane harvester is a lot heavier
the first 2 are a rice header and tracks for a rice header the rest are for a cane harvester

It would be interesting to see if there is a Part Number on those sprockets to see if there is another Crawler out there in the World that used the same pitch on their Rails.
90 links and 8 rollers per side will give you enough for all your D2's!
Yes, these were used on rice harvesters up in the Sacramento delta
area of California. Never paid that much attention but knew they existed.
Thanks for the replies, fellas. Paul, that first picture you posted of the combine has the exact same sprocket and hub assembly that I found on these here. Thanks for all the info and pics.
I believe they were used on the J D 55 & 95 harvesters in the rice when it was too muddy for rubber, it looks like someone customized the ones you have, all the ones out her that I have seen have 4 rollers, 2 idlers & 31 links per side. Lots of good stuff with usually very little wear.
Here are some scans of an old brochure I have on the tracks...

Who would of guessed there was enough demand that 2 manufactures have already surfaced.I remember seeing them as a kid in the SQ valley as we visited family.Being a kid I never worried about it but did wonder how you steered them and farmhands brochure has explain at least one companies answer to that, by adding the steering clutch.
Thank you very much for the scans there, farmhand. That's exactly the kind of info I was hoping to find. It's great to be able to put a manufacturer's name along with the product, those scans explain how everything I was wondering about in the video actually operated.
If you can find casting numbers on the green parts, I can probably track down what model of combine they were on, if that would be of interest...
