caterpillar 22 gaskets and engine parts

does any one know where i can find the nec. gaskets and engine parts to rebuild a 22 engine.. i emailed olsons gaskets and did not get a reply . im getting a cat 22 this week end and going to restore it. i had very little trouble with the d2 5u, but this is going to be a little more difficult to to find parts i realize.. are the engine bearings poured babbit or incerts ? any help would appreciated . thanks , mike...

Hi Michael sometimes it takes a while for olsons to reply but that will be your best bet but I have seen another source for gaskets popping up on engine ads and other places will have to nail them down as for the bearings yes theey are babbit and you can get those redone if need be but if they are in good shape just check the clearance an use them over. You can get rings from the Hastings corp. if you need them. Parts arn't to bad for a 22 as they were a very high production tactor and very popular. Hope this helps Jason
