Wow, Neat picture. could someoe comment on the steering of that prototype? Do I see steering rods going to the front axle? Or was it just clutches and brakes like normal?
Thanks for posting
Biggastractor
I have a ten that was converted at old cat dealership , to rubber tires.
It has 24 inch tires on the rear and i6 inch on the front, used a steering sector and linkage to steer, the brakes were reconstructed to cable control and release steer clutch and then if apllied further apply the brake to each side seperately, I brought this tractor from the man that used it for many years and helped to reconstruct it, He said it worked really well and would pull two 14 inch plows easily. It is complete and would be easy to restore

any pics of your wheeled ten???
Thanks, -R4catkid
I will locate some from when we purchased this tractor, It has been a while ,so give me a day or so. The man said they built it at the dealership during the war because of shortages or steel and they wanted a faster way to get things done He also said it worked well I may restore it on wheels someday.
