I found another Sixty and I was so focused upon manifolds and engine parts that  I did not realize until later that it has levers like a newer cat not the earlier rotating steering controls. Was this ever an option or a prior owner modification?  Thanks, Mike

Mike. I have seen that straight lever steering set up on a Sixty somewhere down in CA. They must have been a change over kit of some kind 17afarmer

HI,
Something very interesting in that first picture - maybe Steam?

Question -- why did you choose to put the tie down chains around the frame at the Radiator - scares me thinking a slip of loose chain breaking the tank or core.

yep i wouldnt have chained there either. go through the track and chain forwards and to the side on each corner. never shift.

ive seen many excavators and dozers chained by hooking onto a grouser plate and down to the combing rail.

The throttle lever ratchet could also be newer. Not familiar with what a 60 would of had. But the one shown is like a RD6. I know the Diesel 35 had something different. More enclosed, so would guess more like other older models..

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
