EMD is moving out to make room so Cat can move in. Maybe we'll be seeing some yellow engines on the road.

We're hauling off left over EMD goods just outside of Chicago and taking them to Muncie Indiana. I hope to haul some Cat equipment when there ready to move in.

Those connecting rods and cam shaft are out of a D8 2U. Would have put all 6 rods on if #2 didn't go through the block. Brian Boaz made me the whistle.

How about some interior shots of that mansion on the back of your truck - must be the biggest one I've seen (not that I've seen a lot....)

Hey Neil, It's just like a 15' travel trailer inside but built commercial duty and well insulated. Sits on a 335" WB heavy haul truck. Onan 7.5 kw 3 cylinder Kubota generator. My light weight with bike and trailer weight 42,500. I leave those heavy loads for other drivers. If you noticed I put Glens (pops) nick name on back of the top wing. These brand new funny looking engines are headed to Indonesia.

Very nice Mike, have to be comfortable on the road! Does the generator run all the time or just when the truck isn't running? Is it worth having batteries for quiet during the night or is it not worth it?
The loading gauge on those engines is quite a lot different to here isn't it - height is considerably lower although the width and length look comparable.

Truck has a big inverter but running coffee pot, space heater, microwave.... is hard on charging system. Inverter mostly runs fridge, tv and small items. We never stay in stinky dirty truck stops. We usually park out in the open somewhere. We run generator almost every night. We both like the windows cracked and roof climate control on.If we can't get in and out of the big city's during daylight we wait till next day. Don't want to go to jail cuz I'm gonna run them MF over before getting my head smashed in.

That's a nice coast to coast rig...kind of like RV'ing.

How many miles did you put on the previous KW?

Hi Don, truck had 600,000 miles. I put 265,000 on it. Drove about 100,000 per year. We're definitely putting a lot more miles on our new truck. Probably about 150,000 this year.
