i WENT AND LOOKED AT A NICE CAT NO 70 SCRAPER ,
PAN , EARTHMOVER, TODAY rather nice shape ,four good tires and smooth all around. serial no 8c2616 does anyone know how much string it takes to restring one of these machines. I want to put a new cable in this before trying it out. 716-761-6447. Thanks , Ron Meeder

Here you go. A page out of the instruction manual on the cable Specifications, size and lengths. for the 70 scraper Serial Numbers 8C1001-8C2776. This should work for your scraper with Sn 8C2616.

You do not use a set length of cable, the scraper should have a location front and back for reels to locate min worth-while length to start is about 300ft. this will give you a chance to suffer a few brakes without much waste.
