Hello, could someone help me out on dating and identifying these graders? I can’t find a model number on them and the serial numbers don’t mean anything to me. Thanks for any help.

8T was a very popular grader. It was the #12. 12 foot moldboard, 318 engine, the same as D6 8U/9U. 100hp if I remember correctly. Good machine still capable of doing a days work. Yours is very early 1951 model year.

3U was the #112, it used the D315 engine, the same as the D4 7U, 75hp. The 3U series was made from 1947 to 1959. I cant find a by year breakdown.

do the motors run? How many hours on them? Are they all there? Missing pieces? How good are the tires? Check the balls that lift the blade. Are there any shims left on the balll sockets? Answer these questions and we will go from there.

Depends on a lot of things. Do they run? Do they drive? Tires junk? If they have stuck engines and junk tires that is too high. If they run and drive with tires that are good that is cheap.
