Started life working on Oroville Dam construction. Then Lundberg Farms in Richvale bought it and several and several others. They removed dozer, ccu belly pan to reduce weight and derated engine. Their Rice farming was basically D9 powered, until new fresh out of college farm manager said you cannot farm with these. Out of the 7 remaining D9s only mine and one other survived as running tractors. others scrap or smog.

There were 3 that went to BarNone Auction several years ago that were destined for scrap. Our friend Glen Ghilotti bought them plus the spare parts. His crew patched them back together, started them up and drove them onto the trailers. As far as I know, they are still part of his estate. Quite a piece of history you have there.

One of the Lundberg brothers used a Cadillac El Dorado for his farm vehicle. Quite a sight to see him with a dog in the front seat, and the trunk lid opened up hauling large items that belonged in a pickup truck or flatbed. Farming with class! JM

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
