Who is into D9-D`s? I may need a set of pads. Did Cat change the bolt pattern on the pads on the G model? Were their changes on the rails also? Any parts machines out there? Thanks.

Big time change in rails from D9D to D9G...pitch went from 9.00 in to 10.25 in.
Bolt size for the D9G is 1.00 in.
Could not find info on bolt pattern but I'm pretty sure it's different than the D9D.
Definitely different part numbers for the shoes.

The track shoe bolt pattern is precisely the same spacing for the D9D, the D9E and the D9G.
However, the 9.00" pitch D9D/E track uses 7/8" track shoe bolts, the D9G uses 1" bolts.

There is no interchangeability between the 9.00" pitch track links and the 10.25" pitch track links .. but you will be able use 9.00" pitch shoes on the 10.25" pitch links, by drilling out the bolt holes .. or you could use 10.25" pitch shoes on 9.00" track links, by installing a tight-fitting, thin steel bushing in the shoe bolt holes.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
