Good Day
While working with my D7E (D339 engine), suddenly lost hydraulics. (No blade & ripper lift). After investigation I saw that the shaft within the pump snapped. I started looking up part numbers, but my manual only indicate group assembly part number : 3R2445 & 3R2446.
My question: What is the part numbers. Where can I get spares?
My engine number : 48A5029. I have the pump with only 1 outlet to control for ripper & blade, no tilt.
Any suggestion on part sources, part number and if replacement pumps can be used?

I am a farmer from South Africa.
I use my Cat to open irrigation area for center pivots.
It will be valuable if somebody can help me part number on the hydraulic pump, as my cat is standing in a mountain area.

What is the s/n of the Hydraulic Control?
I have the manuals for the 48A hydraulic controls but your 3R2445 & 3R2446 are not shown as Cat numbers. It is possible that they might be Vickers pump numbers as they are the manufacturer of the pumps for Caterpillar??????

Hi OM
I am not sure where to look for the serial on the control, as not all numbers are visible. I have however noted a number on pipe connecting to what I think is the control. #5F2440
To make sure, where do validate the serial number requested.
Thanks in advance.

Should be a fender mount tank with s/n plate either on the top or side of the tank.
S/n should be a 67Gxxxx series number. If its a later unit mounted to your tractor it would be a 35Hxxxx series.
If no tags pictures would help.
These would be for a single pump, two valve system for dozer and ripper.

Your part numbers do not seem to apply.
This is the pump you should have according to your tractor s/n
If you managed to break a shaft the drive gear/spline is most likely severely worn and should be replaced also.
Do a Cat number parts search on www.machinerytrader.com for pump parts. Complete pumps and shafts seem readily available but in the US.

I have removed the pump and taken pictures, try to figure out how to load them. (already small file size)
Furthermore, did I track on my partlist the part number and pump. I believe that my book reflect the pump that have the tilt, as mine do not.
On my part number for the shaft is 4J6353. Will it be the same as for the pump on the pic.
Thank you for your help.

4J6353 is the shaft for the two section dozer and tilt pump. Not the same as dozer/ripper I show. Replacement is straight forward but as I noted the drive gear/splines are probably severely worn as well and if that is the case it should be replaced or the old spines will eat up the new splines on the replacement.
Your local Cat dealer may have the parts, have you checked?
I was hoping for a picture of the hydraulic tank in order to identify your system.

I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
