Trying to get information on the blade fitted to my dozer for parts. I have the Cat form 8628 parts catalogue but it has no info on attachments. Old Magnet give me some info on the sheave blocks when I was chasing parts for them from a 7A & 7S book. Is this the same parts book for the blade? The push beam balls attached to the dozer were flogged out which I have welded up back to a size (Don't know original size) but have one fixed bearing cup on the push beams flogged out which I want to replace. The cup which unbolts has 6F2905 stamped on it. I searched the net and found a part number 4J3590 for the part in mention but went to Cat today and was quoted 6F2904 as the correct part. Are these the same part.

Welding up that kind of joint seldom lasts long in actual productive use. Much better to spend your time welding new parts on.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

Not sure if this applies in your case but sometimes the casting number is one digit different from the part number, so the part # Cat quoted might be the one you need. Old Magnet might know if there's a rhyme or reason behind that

Info is in the same 7A & 7S parts catalog.
Bearing is a 6F2904
Cap is a 6F2905
Trunion (ball) is a 3F4714

Casting numbers vs part numbers are usually off by the number of machining operations.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
