Hi Forum, Having trouble working out the liner seals and shims for a 3T engine number 3T11667. My part books quotes liners as 8B375 which crosses to a 8N5676.It lists 8 seals 7B2126 and 4 gaskets 2B6463. I have one of the old liners from a previous rebuild by others and the liner has 3 'o' rings at the bottom of the liner and a copper shim under the top lip of the liner. The parts catalog is for D7 Tractors form 8626, Engines 7M4325 to 7M9999 and 3T1 and up. Something does not add up.

The 'gasket' is the copper ring, the quantity of seals was updated with later liners to help reduce corrosion above the upper '0' ring. The Cat dealer should be able to give you full details.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
