Cat. Serial number 48A9169. The hydraulic fluid is leaking from the end plate as shown on attached photos.
Contacted caterpillar for a price and availability. After a week the parts man reports he is to busy to look up informantion. Give the guy credit he is overloaded and taking care of heavy parts user.

So, can someone give a part number and maybe an after-market parts house?

Thank you in advance for your time and effort.

Hello Robert! Its hard to tell on the picture angel but the seal is a 4J0522. Also when ordering parts for the hyd system you have to give the 173B model number and the 34H2672 serial number. You will have to drain the tank, remove filler cap to relieve air pressure then remove drain plug. Gary

Removed the blank end plate as shown in photo, did not see the o-ring seal. There appears to be a piston inside the hole. Is the o-ring seal on the piston? If so, how to remove piston?

Is the o-ring in the housing or face of housing?

Face-plate is machine cut to a flat surface. No o-ring seal inside that is visable.

Where other that caterpillar can I find a picture with parts list?

Would an after-market control valve be a option?

I'll get my parts book over at the shop and scan it for you. Looks like a plug with the o-ring on it under the cover, is there a threaded hole in the middle of it?

Removed end plate to remove plug 4J4759 as shown on your drawing you sent (see above drawing Rome KG sent). Plug 4J4759 is no longer is cavity and I have no idea what happened to plug or where it could have gone.

Any thoughts or suggestion would be appreciated.

Thank you for your response and phone number.

The plug was in the cavity when I opened it up on a previous occasion. After you sent the parts breakdown I ordered the seal (o-ring) from caterpillar. Now the plug is not in the cavity and I don't have a clue where it may have move to.

I will order a new plug and install it with the new seal.

Thank you for the help.
