Still has the can on the exhaust pipe, so may not be so bad. Maybe head gasket, PC chamber or sleeve. Hope the water in the crankcase is not from a cracked head. D333 heads usually are hard to find. You won't know until you get into it though.
We rebuilt one in a 12E grader that had a wrist pin fail after the oil pump locked up. That took a new block where the connecting rod beat the casting up! It had been sitting out in the weather in central Alabama for several years without the head and the remaining cylinders were STUCK! Got to try several tricks I have learned on here before it came loose.

So I posted this thread about 3 years ago. I finally went and took this D6B home a couple of weeks ago. I'm currently in the process of trying to get this dozer running but I know that the head is cracked. I'm wondering if a D333 engine is the only engine that will work in this tractor or if another engine will bolt up and be operational. I'm in Newfoundland Canada and parts and engines for these old tractors are very hard to find around here.

I would get the casting number off of yours to make sure it's the right one.
Jump on that head regardless - you can always sell it later since they are hard to find

Something's fishy there somewhere...that crank sure ain't out of a 6-cyl. engine...
