My Hyster winch application data book shows the D7K(PC) winch being used on the 983 (38K)-SP
Could be OM, but what else does a D7K winch fit? It is my understanding that the 983 is basically a D8H/K back end, but what Cat did with the drawbar bolt pattern, I don't know.

thank you guys; very good to know! makes sense that it would be the D7 winch given the 983 shares some final parts with the D7; at least according to Caterpillar anyway.
