Greetings,

I can't seem to find the information for 977L oil capacity for hydraulic and transmission. Can someone please provide these specs? I do see that Cat calls for HYDO in the hydraulic system. Should I run straight SAE 30 in the transmission or TDTO? Thanks in advance!

Use TDTO in the transmission.
I don't know the answer to your question about the hydraulic system but that answer and more can be found in the operator's guide for your 977L.
I found this one on eBay:

Look on the back pages of your parts book under specifications and you will find capacities for lube systems, cooling, hydraulic and fuel.
You don't need to use HYDO or TDTO unless Cat has it on sale.
Look under the dash for the info plate with serial number.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
