I'm going with my brother to inspect a 977L tomorrow. What things should i look for in the short time that you have during an inspection?
I always look for excessive blowback, bubbles in the radiator, oil anywhere esp.around the exhaust manifold.
Is there anyway to do a manual check on the tranny?

Hi, Au7edd.
There is a dipstick for the tranny, either under a floor plate or under the seat - it's been a LONNNNGGGG time since I was around one. If at all possible, check the tranny and the engine before running, then run the machine and at least drive it back and forth a bit, then check both again to see if there is any color change in the oil.

The 977Ls are a pretty robust machine.

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Only way to really check the tranny is pressure gauge readings. On site operation function is about all you can check besides fluids and leaks.
