I need a little help with a water pump rebuild. I have removed the water pump from the machine and have the impeller off. How do I get the shaft out of the housing without breaking anything. Any help is appreciated as well as pictures. My manual dont have anything as far as rebuilding the water pump.

I rebuilt mine last fall. There is a seal and ceramic disc under the impeller, mine were shot so I just tapped the shaft out the back with a hammer. Be careful when you put the new seals and washer back on the shaft, I broke 2 of those ceramic washers before I got it right.

Forgot to say the exploded view is on P23 of the service manual (Disassemly & Assembly section) and P48 of the parts book.

If you don't have the manuals let me know and I'll photocopy the pages for you.

I will look at my book when I get home this afternoon. Are you saying once the impeller is off, you can tap the shaft out the back of the housing?

Can someone tell me if a water pump with a part # 6N8413 will fit my engine. My 951C has a serial # 69H4866 with the 3304 engine. I found a new pump for a good price if it will fit.

Yes you can tap the shaft out through the back, high odds of the seals & ceramic washer being damaged in the process but they're likely shot anyway. Good idea to replace them during the rebuild. I'll look to see if I took any pictures of my rebuild tonight.

Edit: Sorry I didn't take any pictures of the pump rebuild.

I tried.....but appears 6N8413 is a housing only number??
Looked up 69H4866 in my 48V 3204 parts book and it states "see vehicle book" at 69H3703-up which I don't have. What is shown are pumps with a 2Pxxx part number.
