That would be a D311H or D320 engine. Injection pump removal is pretty straight forward once the mounting bolts are removed. What seems to be the problem?
I think maybe we didn't remove a couple of bolts from the bottom. Machine has been sitting for over 30 years. Fuel system is all rusted up. Thanks!
Finally got this 933F running after not working on it for 2 years. S/N is 42A5396.
After starting, it started to put coolant in oil. It was fine before starting. Any suggestions to where to start looking? Do I need to pull oil pan and pressurize?
Thanks
Hi, there are many places that could be allowing coolant to enter the oil. Cracked heads, cracked block, perforated cylinder liners, bad gaskets, and that is just a beginning. Has this engine been subject to freezing conditions with coolant in the system? Are you seeing bubbles in coolant with radiator cap removed? How much coolant is entering the oil in what time period - might be very helpful to have that information, determine how large the "leak"is. I do not see how you would pressurize the oil gallery portion of the engine by removing the pan, or what you would expect to gain from that effort. Many of the seals are made to contain the oil, not contain pressure, you would most probably introduce many more issues than any possible gain. - cts

Psst ace cat wanabe expert pretty much standard troubleshooting 101 pull oil pan and rocker cover and pressurize radiator and check for water leaks.
Bob
in addition to the above after removing the rocker cover check any core plugs on top of the cyl. head for being rusted out.
