iirc I've read people in here complaining about the 910 in terms of reliability.

What is the engine in this thing?

I've been looking for a loader for years but the price has never been right. If I could get something like that for say 12-13k I think I'd be happy. Needs to be 4WD however.

Its a 3204 engine. literally half a 3208.

We had one for about 10 years. It was probably well worn when we got it, but over the years we replaced the engine twice with spun bearings and had the transmission overhauled. Loader was never worked particularly hard digging dirt etc, mostly all its time was spent loading feed into a mixer working on a slab. Last major repair was having the pivot bearing bores in the middle welded in and bored back to hold new bearings. Not too long after that, it caught on fire and burned from an electrical short near the starter.

The 910 is fulltime 4WD and has 3 speed powershift transmission with reverser behind a torque converter. Brakes are hydraulic disk type on all 4 wheels and work just fine. I think i have some caliper parts on the shelf that we had on hand. Ours had a quick-tach front on it with both a material bucket and a set of pallet forks. Not sure what brand those are, still got 'em out back. Planning to adapt to my 922 one day, but the loader arms are wider on the 922, so it will take some doing.

At one time the 910 would have been the smallest loader in the lineup, but I think there is a smaller series made now.

I have an operator's manual for the 910 if you get it. Pay to ship it and it's yours. I think they were all made in Japan. I know we had to wait on a part to be shipped from Japan when the CAT dealer in Birmingham was rebuilding the transmission. I think the 910 was made long enough that some of the 3204s used were precombustion chamber engines and later ones were direct injection.

Off hand I could use the Manual if it shows the adjustments to the D-clutch and other daily routines..

I have a 1967 910 Loader 80U3820 and just can't find the info I need to adjust the d clutch..

I've worked on many things over the years however this is the second construction equipment piece..

I can get things to run I can do all electrical for any 12/24 volt system.. Hell even Positive ground systems... 😛

I'm new to the forum But have knolage in all sorts of odd ball stuff.. Just can any more old timeers for old questions.. 😛..

Off hand do you have a repair manual for the 80U 910's? If so let me know that too..
