We got our cat logger home today and am happy so far , it’s got most of the log cruiser parts like high speed 3rd gear , front oil pump pick up , 6 bolt rails and pads , heavy riveted gas tank , engine skid plate e.x.t. I am looking for the special attachments book for logger 60s to know what I’m missing. We got it running nice and driving grate . I’d like to find where to source the buggy / soft top , I’m working on parts for the seat box and mounts . Enjoy!

Wow! That’s really cool Moulding. Congrats!! I’d be curious to know about buggy top parts as well. I’ve got an old National Geographic that shows a Sixty pulling a combine in the Palouse, it has a buggy top. I freind of mine says he thinks model T Ford top parts might work.

BP.

Hi, Moulding.
NICE catch. Apparently, the 6-bolt track plates were standard on the 60 loggers. The unit that the Veerkamp group restored a couple of years ago also has the 6-bolt plates.

Thanks for sharing.

Just my 0.02.

Excuse my ignorance, but on these 6 bolt plates, do all 6 bolts bolt to the chains, in which case presumably the chains are different as well ?

Jim Sheppard has a Log Cruiser with the canvas top. It seems that he told me it was the same as a Model T top.

Hi, Gauntjoh.
Yep. All six bolts go through the links. The links have an extra lug outside plate rail to take the extra bolt. If you blow a photo up to around 200%, you will likely be able to see it.

I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
