Caterpillar 30 as in serial number PS1 to PS13285, under the cylinder head there are four washers, part number S-528, located around the studs which have the fuel fill valves attached. What are they for? What can they be made from? Can someone supply me dimensions of them?

The S528 washers seal the stud to the cylinder head so that no dirty air gets into the engine by that path. I think I have the size of it written down somewhere; it is just not here in my office. I will try to remember to get it when I get to the shop later today. The other option is to call Olson's at 360 871 1207, and they will cut and send them to you.

Thanks

Ken

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
