I have used stop leak with no problems. It will work the best on the lower leaks as a CAT 30 is a non pressurized system. I just used some in my CAT D2 # 3J2 to stop some drips at the bottom of the tank. 30 years ago I missed a ground squirrel and killed my 22 rad. with a perfect shot with a 16 gauge double barrel shot gun.:eek2: The replacement rad. had a few leaks and stopped them with stop leak. No leaks to this day.
I have used this a few times seemed to work very well for the price. I have a Cat ten that I just can't seem to stop it has a very small weep from time to time. Think this stuff works well when there is a larger hole so it can get into to clog

I used to use AlumaSeal but now this is my choice http://barsproducts.com/catalog/view/15-liquid-aluminum-cooling-system-stop-leak-1186
Packing on the pumps seem to dry out and weep, then stop as they swell/saturate again from running.
Leaky gaskets may leak awhile till the stop leak/ bars leak works its way through the system!
