Hi All

Just wondering if anyone has a lead on replacement transmission bearings for a cat 2ton
Part numbers or what they did to over come the Hyatt roller bearings.
I need to replace the four on the transmission shafts and the one in the reverse gear.
I’m in Australia any help would be appreciated.

Dan

Danga, if you have the bearings out get on Fleabay with the part numbers, they will be out there, I know there was a place in Melbourne that stocked those old bearings. Ron Nash "Ozdozer" has reprints of the 2 Ton parts book for sale, they are invaluable as a reference and not expensive, contact him via a private message on here, he lives over in Perth and is a really good guy, very knowledgeable about old and newer Cats.

Everyone here likes pictures, give us the serial number too, there are a lot of 2 Tons around Oz.
Good luck

Thank you I have tried eBay not much luck yet but working on it may have to adapt bearings to fit.

I have 2 Ton serial number 78814, so yours might have come out to Oz in the same shipment, I was told they came out in shipments of 30 tractors at a time. What are the numbers on your bearings?

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
