All little Gas CATS have the same firing order. (10, 15, 20, 22, 25, 2😎
Its on a couple of previous threads, but seems like it is 1-3-4-2??
Thank, I tired to search through before I asked but couldn't find anything. The 28 belongs to an older friend who also has a D4 with pony motor issues so we hope to start the 28 and use it to pull off the D4.

Wow, Thanks, I looked and looked but couldn't find an online manual. Now all I have to do is figure out how to access it. I'm only 57 so I'm not as savvy at computers as you old guys or as up on the old cats.

If it is not 1-3-4-2, then it is 1-3-2-4.
I need to post some photo's later today and will check back on this after I look it up.
From the Caterpillar Gas Tractor Restoration and Interchange Manual: "With the exception of the 2- Ton, all of the gas Caterpillar tractors have a firing order of 1-3-4-2."
I realized yesterday after posting that there is the remote possiblity of the overhead valve being different.
I checked my GAS 35 manual and sure enough it is 1-3-4-2 like I posted originally.

Also it is listing number one as lower left, number 3 on upper left, number 4 on upper right and number 2 on lower right. (if memory serves me right)
