Having never seen one but knowing it was a Caterpillar option I would guess that this one is homemade. Doesn't look like Cat quality. Any thoughts?

Original CAT rear starting would have the jaw inside the transmission case and a special casting that holds the shaft with a spring to disengage.

Yes, now that I am home and can look at my parts manual I see what it should look like. I wonder how long of arms you would need to operate the choke and crank to start it!
Thanks for the thoughts. Now I don't feel the need to try to buy it!
