Many thanks. It's been a long road, nearly there. I'd just like the scarifyer to make it complete. The previous owner made a lovely job of a power steering conversion which helps immensely.

How would the scarifier be controlled? I am thinking there was a splitter gearbox on the circle rotate that was used for the one I had once. What is used to operate the dozer? It may be simple......it's been a long time since I looked at one.

I"ll second the vote for nice job on that project! What was the source of the machine? Contractor, government?
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

hi, thanks all for your kind words. The scarifyer is controlled from a change over lever in the cab that swaps between the scarifyer and wheel lean. There should be a gearbox to
operate it mounted on the brackets on top of the frame near the front.

The machine was originally a Swedish army one which later went into the Swedish highways. I bought it in Sweden and brought it home.

Great job on the old grader.
Hope you find the scarifier to complete the project. They should have named them "scarceifiers" as they are so scarce and hard to find. Good luck!!

Interesting steps to get into the grader, I have not seen steps like that. Also, it appears your front tires and rear tires are the same size, am I mistaken?
I'm not afraid of hard work; I can lay down beside it anytime and take a nap.

24" rubber on the front was an option, but one that seems less appealing now that proper tires are so scarce.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Yes the fronts are 24's, I like the look. You can get them but only in chevron pattern that I've found so far. I took of the worn rear ones to save for the front then put new matching rears on.

Hello,
Do a search for Weller Tractor Salvage in Great Bend, KS. They salvage graders and may have what you are looking for. catskinner

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
