Looking at a 1929 cat 20 serial 3042 runs ok but the pipe from carburetor to intake manifold is homemade was wondering if i should leave alone or try to find one? Also for some unknown reason bottom 1/3 of big brass plate on rear of seat has been torched off along with a portion of the seat plate? Any possibility of finding a used one or reproduction? Thank you. Also a picture of original throttle rod would be helpful too. Thank you guys

Might be my eyes. But by the pads it looks like the tracks are on backwards. The grouser usually leads.

They look backwards to me also!
Judging by the distance between the pads, I would "guess" they were reversed to get a few more miles out of them?

I noticed that as well. The rails, islets, and sprockets are very good I figured they just re used old pads to make due. Thank you
