I am looking at a modified Cat 15. It supposedly has a good set of D2 tracks that I could use. does anyone know about how much this will weigh? I need to figure out how big a trailer I will need. I'm guessing about 5-6 k lbs but I'm not sure.

Thanks,

P. Gill

Looks like 5600 for a bare factory machine

Will there be enough links for a D2, Might consider a set of D3 rails, will fit on a D2 after you tale out a few links.

The small 7C Series 15 weighs 4480 lb. Track gauge 37 / 44 inch, and the big PV Series 15 weighs 5790 lb. With track gauge 40 / 50 inch.

Hope this helps,

John

Thanks for the information guys.

My rails are worn out on my d2 and these look to be in good condition. The guy wants 500 for the machine so I will pick it up and take what I need. I'll post the rest of the machine for parts once I take what I need.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
