I just picked up a cat 12 8t and I need tires for it and I have a few questions about them. 1 what size were they originally. 2 will semi truck tires work on these rims and be safe.

Original sizes were 9.00 - 24 front and 13.00 - 24 rears with option of 13.00 - 24 all around. Don't know the answer to your truck tire question.

Search for a thread on grader tires. There was one a few months ago. Maybe Sasquatch will see this and chime in. As I recall he had some experience with different tires.
