Hi All

My beast is almost home. In the meantime, in searching for tires I'm finding tons of 1300-24's....but only tractor tires in 7.50-24 (and i'm told they won't fit...wrong type of bead)

I'd like to put 1300-24's on the front (or similar size that's commonly available)

What's involved with this conversion? Simple wheel swap? Rim swap? Sources?

Thanks in advance!

My 112 parts book shows the same bearings and knuckles for the smaller wheels as well as the 13-24's. I am not sure but I think the wheels are the same on the older 112's as the model 12's. Any comparable 112 13-24 wheel should work.

If your still in the market for a set of tires there is a set of 6EA 13.00 - 24 Grader tires c/w rims from a Cat 12 in RI that are posted on ebay for $600.00. I would pick them up myself for my 112 if they were a little bit closer, but the freight would probably be twice as much as the tires.

After the insane fuel prices this summer (among other things)...I'm flat broke as far as toy money! I have enough spare parts at this point to get it moving once the holidays are over with. The 1300X24 front conversion is gonna have to wait a while. Thanks for the heads up though!

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
