Cat 10 Serial Number

I first posted a few weeks ago about a Cat 10 I am attempting to restore. One of the first things I wanted to do was find the serial number. Several members responded about places to look . Thanks to all. I didn't have any luck at those places. Yesterday at the local Cat dealer here in Knoxville, TN, I was looking over a Cat Twenty they have on display. The serial number was on the back seat plate in the upper left corner. I went home, and after removing several layers of paint, grime and rust, success. PT896. My tractor is mostly rust, with a little yellow paint. After pressure washing it, some grey showed up in just a few places. My question is, what color was it origionally? I see Ten's painted both colors. Any help? I will try and post some pictures later. Thanks, Mark

Yours is a 1929 model and would have been gret when new
