I was using my Ten the other day pulling some logs, and after I worked it for a while it started missing under load. It has done this on several occasions. Anyone have any ideas on where to start looking.

I'd suspect it to be an ignition problem, bad plug, wire, or weak mag.

When have you checked your valve clearances?

I second the mag/wire/plug suggestion, I think that is more likely than the valves, but not a bad idea to check your clearances anyway.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time😄

Might ask if your fuel tank is vented or cap has a vent hole. This was a design flaw in the Ten where on later tractors they vented the Ten tank so when the tractor got warm and the fuel got hotter you would not get a vapor/vacume lock. You could be running low on fuel when hot and under a load.

Thanks for the input, I will check these out and see if this is my problem.
