Just a friendly reminder that Chapter 15 will be attending/sponsoring the 2025 CAFES program at Tulare, California April 11-13, 2025.
PLEASE JOIN US IN THE FUN!
Show packets will begin processing March 1, 2025 for those wishing to exhibit their iron or be part of the demonstrations/parades. As a reminder, those folks signing up will be allowed free admission for the 3 days while you are there. There is also a good chance that Chapter 15 will be hosting dinner tables at the "Saturday Night BBQ" which is always a lot of fun. (To be decided).
As part of our gathering, our chapter will plan on a brief meeting Saturday April 12 at 9 AM, and conclude prior to the parade, for those wishing to be part of it, and proceed to the "Dig".
We will promote the Caterpillar Centennial Celebration in our display area, as well as have an assortment of old iron to operate in the "Dig Area".
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the activities. This is one of the larger events on the west coast that kicks off many others. After many of us get the cobwebs out and primed up at CAFES, we will move our toys to "The Best of the West" at Santa Margarita, CA (Memorial weekend).
We hope to see many new and old faces with your prized iron. Don't be strangers. Come on out and see your friends and soak up some sunshine and fresh air!

Hi, juiceman.
Thanks for the info. and heads-zupp. How-wevver, I suspect that I am gonna be 'conspicuous by my absence' as we hava rash of shows DowNunda over the coming cuppla months - and 'coz the commute would be a 'bittuvva' hassle.

My 'home' nowadays - and LUVVIN' it.

Try to enjoy BOTH shows anyway.

Just my 0.02.

Toss that UTE or whatever you call it in an overseas container and park it at Tulare. Dry camping is offered there...
I believe the display is shaping up, as I have folks prepared to bring their iron for everyone to enjoy.
More the merrier! JM

Hi, tk88.
It's 'ackshully' not bad. I have done a little 'aerodynamic' work on it as I built it, spoilers, sloping surfaces, wind breakers, etc.. I still need to do a little more but most of it is done. Works for me - doesn't hafta work for anybody else.

Hi, tk88.
The practicality of this setup is PERFECT for me - LOTZA time to myself, nobody to argue with, being my own travel advisor, chief cook, bottle washer, bed maker, laundry person, gardener - - - er, wait a bit. I don't hava garden, just a 'backyard' of almost 3 million square limes.

Works for me.

Hi, Wimmera Farmer.
Not as long as you think. I was down there the following year as well but it wasn't near as interesting a show without Cat being the featured brand.

That said, this year, I will be travelling 'sideways' (figger that one out) to get there but it is on the 'too-doo' list . Hope ter see yer thair.
