I haven't got the latest issue so I'm not sure which one got put in. I've gotten to know the editor through my Wheat Growers involvement. She's always wanting pictures and I'm always taking them so I send her some. It amazes me how good a pictures a smartphone will take.

Now you got us far away folks drooling and no picture. Kinda like telling us about your girl friend and never let us meet her. LOL.
Heh, well I took a look through the July issue but couldn't decide if one of the pictures was the one in question : )
Ok so we started in on our winter wheat today, and when we got the mail this evening our new wheat life was here. I send the editor all sorts of wheaty pictures so I wasn't sure which one was in there. Turns out I had two in there. And here they are, hopfully not a letdown.

The picture of Annie (my oldest) standing next to here wheat from Wheat Week. Wheat week is a program that the Washington Association of Wheat Growers (WAWG) does with 4th graders to teach how wheat is grown, all the products that use wheat, ect. The kids plant wheat in a cup the first day and by the last day it has sprouted then the kids bring it home. I was curious what kind of wheat it was so we kept it alive and grew it out. I'm not sure what variety it is but it looks pretty good.
The other picture is of my winter wheat sometime in June, actually that's the field I'm cutting now.
Here's pictures from today.

Wow that's spectacular scenery behind the combine! Glaciated valleys I guess given the steep v shaped land profile. So all the good soil must be deposited below.
very nice looking country.
Great pics! That gives true meaning to the phrase "amber waves of grain!"
