This is one of the ugliest friction compartments I have seen in a while. Looks like it was brought up from the titanic. It is definitely a parts tractor. The good is that it is a factory direct start and complete less the radiator. And of course, all the other little goodies that are always needed.

D4 Jim. It just sat outside for about 15 years. The friction compartment was not sealed. Motor stuck. Clutch stick. Had to drill every tooth of the disc to remove it from the flywheel. But parts is parts 🤓

TD: I've been beat! The super late D2 18,xxx that I sold had water in everything except for the radiator. It was far gone and great for parts though, because I wasn't about to drop 25-30k into having the bragging rights to saying I got it running again. Parts is parts.
So what is the plan now? JM

Juiceman as you mentioned, parts is parts. We’ve all bought those tractors that we think might be recoverable. Only to find out those costly hidden issues.
This one was a known parts machine after seeing it. Pictures tell the tale.
And yes you could have spent that kind of money on that D2 today😳
The tractor is pretty much stripped now. Head is ready for the machine shop. Got two conversions to do. Split deck goes to another D4. Lots of good parts.

Looks like she's been road wet and put-away hard. 😮
Few broken and blooded knuckles she'll be as good as was when they parked it.😁👍

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
